Hear Sasha’s First Single in Almost Four Years

UK legend Sasha has just dropped his new single ‘Vapourspace’ on his Last Night On Earth imprint, and it’s a slow-burning tech-house weapon.

Clocking it at almost nine-minutes, ‘Vapourspace’ is a techno adventure that builds slowly to a hypnotic plateau, and works that long rolling gradient that Innervisions has brought into vogue in the last couple of years.

While he hasn’t dropped a new single in a while, the Welsh DJ/producer has hardly been idle. His name continuously courts the upper tier of major festival line-ups, his Last Night On Earth label has shipped some solid releases since launching in 2011, and his deep, heady remix of London Grammar’s ‘Hey Now’ was one of the big tracks of last summer.

‘Vapourspace’ is set to be released March 8.

Manchester/Nottingham-based trio Crazy P are going to set their seventh album free in May.

The sounds of Crazy P are heavily informed by ‘proper’ deep house, funk, soul, boogie and disco, and it’s no different on their new record ‘Walk Dance Talk Sing’.

To celebrate the album release, the group are embarking on a tour starting May 2 which will see them play Parklife, Heaven in London and Bristol’s Love Saves The Day.

Listen to the shimmering ‘Witch Doctor’ from the album below, before it’s released on May 11 via Walk Don’t Walk and !K7 Records.

Go behind the scenes at Ableton with a documentary on the developers behind the software

Since its first release in 2001 Ableton Live has become an industry standard, especially for those seeking to take their music from the studio to the stage.

Following the recent public beta of Live 9.2, the company has unveiled a short documentary on the developers behind the software. The 15-minute movie peers behind the scenes at Ableton’s Berlin HQ with interviews and insights from the various members of the development team.

While a little heavy on tech speak, the documentary provides a fascinating insight into how the sofware company overcame challenges in its code and implemented a better way of working that in turn leads to better software.
